Hello Dummy! Don't get offended, I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to those who text while they are driving. Everyone has heard it is dangerous, yet still persist in doing it. Do you remember the mother, who while texting, crossed the center line, hit a truck and sent two men and herself to a hospital. I believe it happened in Tamaroa, in March. Her four-year old son died at the scene. Can anyone, in your wildest imagination, come up with a reason to text while driving, instead of pulling off the road? If you can please let me know. This hit me especially hard since I have a great-grandson almost the same age of her son.
I heard a rumor that someone, probably a disgruntled Marine, thinks I should get out of city and county business and focus on Bremen, which is where I live. I'll try it. Could lead to something big. Let my editor know what you think.
My neighbors, including Jerry Baughman and John Meacham, mowed their lawns this week. John got a new dog and built a house for it and a nice fenced run. Knowing John, it's a hunting dog. He's definitely not the toy poodle type. You all know I have several feral cats in my barn. Sixteen at last count, including a neighbor's Tom cats, until I found a new litter of five kittens this week. You do the math. My grandson tilled our shared garden plot this week, while I spread some fertilizer on it. I'm good at that. This is working out okay. Now I have a wealth of material to work with.
Sailors have more fun!
Marines grin and bear it!
