The Chester Public Library is delighted to once again host Stone Soup Shakespeare at Cole Park.

The troupe's ninth season, dubbed "We're not in Stratford anymore" will take us "somewhere over the rainbow" with their production of "Twelfth Night".

The public is invited to the performance, which will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, your own food and drink and a nonperishable donation for the Food Pantry.

"Twelfth Night" as described by Stone Soup Shakespeare: "With music as the 'food of love,' our lightning hot rebellious band of misfit players will have the Midwest saying let's dance after this toe-tapping, hat-swapping, heart-throbbing mix of a fame-filled take on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

"Join us as we imagine twins Viola and Sebastian meeting their idols in Illyria in this rhythm fueled rendition of one of Shakespeare's favorite comedies."

Stone Soup Shakespeare brings professional Shakespeare productions and other theatrical experiences to communities for free, approaching the plays as if they were new scripts, looking at them with fresh eyes and how they impact today's audience.

If there is inclement weather the day of the performance or if you would like more information, contact the Chester Public Library at (618) 826-3711.
