Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 2800 block of State Route 150 on Tuesday morning.

According to the Chester Police Department"s accident report, a 2007 Lincoln SUV - driven by 66-year-old Claire Morris of Perryville, Mo. - was stopped in the eastbound lane while waiting for traffic to clear in order to complete a left turn.

The SUV was then rear-ended by a 2012 Chevy Cruze driven by 42-year-old Stephanie Kahmke of Chester.

Kahmke reported to law enforcement that she did not notice the stopped vehicle in time and was unable to avoid striking the SUV.

MedStar Ambulance was called to the scene to tend to minor injuries sustained by Morris. Kahmke was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The accident was reported at 11:56 a.m.
