Chester took care of business in the first half in building a 41-0 lead, and then cruised to a 41-22 win over Hamilton County on Sept. 8.
The Yellow Jackets snapped a four-game losing streak dating back to last season with the victory. Chester quarterback Nick Meyer went 6-for-9 passing for 133 yards and three touchdowns, two of them going to senior Calvin Clendenin.
Clendenin finished with 99 yards receiving for the Yellow Jackets on three catches. Nick Heffernan had Meyer's other touchdown, a 19-yard reception.
Chester spread the love on the ground, with Curt Meyer (9-97, 2 TDs), Heffernan (7-26), Mason Westerman (9-62) and Eathan Thompson (9-50) getting significant carries.
The Yellow Jackets (1-2) scored 15 points in the first quarter before blowing the game open with 26 points in the second.
The Foxes (0-3) broke the shutout with a touchdown and two-point conversion in the third before adding their final 14 points in the fourth.
Chester returns home on Friday for a battle with Vienna-Goreville (2-1), which defeated Johnston City, 20-14, in double overtime last Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at W.O. Smith Field.
