  • Chester's Juli Koenegstein-Stults, right, leads the pack of female runners in the 2018 Steeleville Firecracker 3K July 4. Koenegstein-Stults never relinquished her lead and won the Female Division with a time of 11:45.4. She also finished 14th overall out of the field of 244 runners (100 female and 144 male). Koenegstein-Stults, 31, was a standout runner for the Chester Lady Jackets throughout her high school career, after which she became an elite runner for the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks.
