The St. Clement Community Foundation is accepting applications for one-time, $1,500 scholarship awards to students pursuing degrees in the health care field.

The scholarship awards will be made to students from the service area of the former St. Clement Hospital and Maria Care facilities, which are Monroe and Randolph counties and the St. Clair County communities of Marissa, New Athens and Lenzburg.

At least one of the $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to a current employee, or the spouse or dependent, of Red Bud Regional Hospital or Red Bud Regional Care.

This scholarship is intended to support deserving students in their academic endeavors and the development of quality health care professionals in this region.

The Foundation strongly encourages scholarship recipients, upon completion of their program of study, to seek employment in the health care field in this geographic area in keeping with the mission of this foundation to ensure the availability and enhancement of health care services to residents of our area.

The application deadlines is March 24, 2019. Applications must be postmarked no later than that date or electronically submitted via the SCCF website at http://stclementcf.org under Applications.
