Bob Lockhart was the featured guest speaker at the April 26 meeting of the Chester Women's Club. Lockhart's presentation was on "An Overview of World War I Aviation, Iron Men With Wooden Wings." At the beginning of World War I, Lockhart said, flying machines were thought to be no more than rich men's toys.

President Christine Bowles conducted a business meeting that followed the program. All current officers agreed to accept nomination for the coming club year and so they were accepted by acclamation: President Christine Bowles; First Vice President Nikki Aubuchon; Second Vice President Sandra Starr; Recording Secretary Joyce McGee; Corresponding Secretary Cathy Sauer; and Treasurer Jane Stallman.

They will be installed at the club's May Luncheon.

• Paula Platt announced that the club will present two educational scholarships to Chester High School seniors at the Chester High School Honors Night in May.

• In unfinished business, the membership voted to raise annual club dues from $10 to $15 per year, beginning with the coming year's dues.

• Hostesses for the April 26 meeting were Jane Kruse and Barb Welge, co-chairmen, and Colette Powley. One guest, Lisa Meade, was introduced to the membership.

• The final meeting of this club year will be the annual May Luncheon on Friday, May 17, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church. Tickets are $11 per person and reservations are required. Make them by contacting Jane Stallman.
