Costello receives ‘Friend Of Agriculture’ Award

 U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) today received a “Friend of Agriculture” Award from ACTIVATOR, part of the Illinois Farm Bureau.  The award ceremony was held at the Monroe County Courthouse in Waterloo.
 The Illinois Farm Bureau is a membership organization controlled by farmers who join the group through their county farm bureau.  There are 96 county organizations in Illinois.
 “Agriculture plays a very important role in our local economy, and I am proud to support policies and programs that support farmers in our region,” said Costello.  “I am honored to receive this award, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with the Illinois Farm Bureau.”
