Joan Marie Robinson, 77, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Joan was a homemaker and a retired hairdresser.
She was born March 22, 1941 in Eldorado, the daughter of James and Mary (Reeder) Farley. She was adopted by her stepfather, Lawrence Ellison in 1948.
She married John Woods on Sept. 22, 1957 at Harrisburg, and he preceded her in death. She then married Glenn Robinson on Sept. 26, 2012 in Memphis and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin; son, Roger Woods, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; siblings, Nancy Keller of Du Quoin, Steve Ellison of Tamaroa, Tom Ellison of Herrin, Jesse G. Farley of Galatia, Cindy Thompson of Thompsonville and Jimmy Farley of McLeansboro; and two grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, Joan was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gina Woods Curtis; and siblings, Pearl Herrera, Stella Ellison and Sheila Carlton.
Interment will be in the Memphis Memorial Gardens in Memphis at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home or online at alz.org.
