Reitz awarded for work in preventing domestic violence

State Rep. Dan Reitz (D-Steeleville) was recently honored by the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois for his work as a community leader in helping the center achieve its mission of “eliminating domestic violence in individual lives and society as a whole.”  Reitz was recognized as part of the Violence Prevention Center's 30th Anniversary Celebration, held at Fischer’s Restaurant in Belleville. 
“I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with the Violence Prevention Center,” Reitz said.  “They continue to make a positive difference for many families at a most vulnerable time.”
