Flex-Line Automation began operating as a conveyor company in the early 1980s on a farm in rural Chester. In 1991 the company moved to its current main location on Union School Road in Chester.

Current owners Rhett and Cathy Rinne, along with his parents, the late Orville and Dorothy Rinne, founded the company. Rhett and Cathy's daughter, Lauren (Rinne) Van DeMark grew up helping with the family business. She and her husband, Eric, have now officially joined the company.

Flex-Line serves customers worldwide, including the United States (including Puerto Rico), Canada and Mexico.

The company produces conveyors, industrial robots, mobile industrial robots, automated forklifts, feeder bowls, pallet handling equipment, case erectors and other ancillary equipment.

"Chester is very fortunate to have such a complex and growing company operating in our business community," said Bob Welker, president of the Chester Chamber of Commerce.
