Join Chester library via Zoom for history talk on CCC in southern Illinois
The public is invited to join the Chester Public Library via Zoom for a free area history program at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, when Kay Rippelmeyer will discuss the Civilian Conservation Corps in southern Illinois. Rippelmeyer is a southern Illinois native and author of the book, "The Civilian Conservation Corps of Southern Illinois." Her presentation for the Chester Public Library will feature the history of the C.C.C. and their work in Randolph County in the 1930s and early 40s.
