Nine Mile Baptist Church in Tamaroa invites the public to experience the beauty of the first Christmas at its outdoor Live Nativity on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 22.
From 5 to 8 p.m., church members will host an interactive, walk-through live nativity that is appropriate for the entire family. Visitors will follow the journey of Joseph and Mary as they made their way to Bethlehem and the events that led up to the birth of the Savior.
The Live Nativity will include animals and a cast of many church members involved in the presentation, including costumed characters. Other members will work behind the scenes making the production happen, including sound and lighting.
Still other members will bake cookies, park vehicles and keep the outdoor campfires going to keep visitors warm while walking outside.
Following the stroll, visitors should make their way into the church Fellowship Hall for cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. There will be games and crafts for the children and a photo backdrop for family pictures.
Nine Mile Baptist Church is at 6684 State Route 154, Tamaroa. The church encourages visitors to dress accordingly to the weather since much of the event takes place outside.
