On Aug. 28, Chester Country Club hosted the annual Jim Shields Golf Tournament for St. Mary's School.

This year, the name of Leah Search (Jim's daughter and Tate's wife) was added to the Memorial Golf Tournament. Leah was employed at St. Mary's for over 20 years and passed away in May of this year.

So this golf tournament has been renamed as the Jim Shields/Leah Search Annual Golf Tournament. All money raised will be donated to St. Mary's School.

The weather was perfect, but hot. There were 104 golfers in this tournament. Sandwiches were provided, and when the tournament was finished everyone proceeded to the Knights of Columbus in Chester for a meal of fried chicken, baked beans, potato salad, sliced tomatoes and dessert was enjoyed by all.

This memorial tournament is organized by Leah's husband, Tate Search. Again, another successful tournament.
