After missing their last annual Christmas party, the American Legion Auxiliary is excited to host a "live" Christmas party this year during its regular meeting Monday, Dec. 13.
"We are excited to be able to get back together this year for a live Christmas party," said Farida Hollaway. "We had to cancel last year due to COVID restrictions and we are ready to have a great time this year. We need to get the word out to all of our members so we can have a good turnout!"
The 2021 Legion Auxiliary Christmas party will take place at the American Legion Post 487 club beginning at 5 p.m. All members are strongly encouraged to attend.
"The first drink from the bar is going to be free! There will be a cash bar thereafter," Hollaway said. "We will also have free food and free spiked punch throughout the evening. It should be a good time!"
In order to purchase and prepare the proper amount of food, it is necessary for all members who plan to attend to RSVP by Wednesday Dec. 8 by calling (618) 826-3015.
"We are really excited and looking forward to getting together again for a live Christmas party this year. I sure do hope that we have a great turnout for good food, drinks and fellowship," Hollaway said.
"It will be a great way to help celebrate the holiday season with friends and fellow Legion Auxiliary members."
