Larry Parker, 72, of De Soto died at 2:26 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2020 at Evelyns House Hospice in St. Louis.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale. Visitation will be held after 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting the family with the details.
Larry was born on Sept. 14, 1948 in Cairo to the late Joseph McCorkle and Phyllis (Parker) Brown.
Larry was a retired iron worker and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is survived by five children, Joyce Bell of Springfield, Reginald (Danielle) Wynns of Bloomfield, Michigan, Arnold Kinard of Aurora, Krista Parker Boardman of Carbondale and Tonya Kenner of Carbondale; a brother, Justin (Sara) Henderson of Kevil, Kentucky; a niece, Natasha Jackson of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Danny Parker; grandson, Eric Wynns; and stepson, Keenan Kenner.
